The Lost Ones presents a dégustation-style dinner as part of the inaugural Plate Up Ballarat program over heritage weekend, combining modern gastronomy with old world techniques, surrounded by a series of works from local contemporary female artists. The 1800s inspired menu will focus on the wild, the foraged, the hunted and the scavenged. The exhibition ‘Fabulous Maude’ will interpret the life of the fierce and forgotten woman who drove change in Ballarat in the same era. The tables will be dressed in linens and local flora, and all food will be matched with complementing wine. Seats are limited.
