DATE : Saturday 10th of June 2017
TIME: 10.30am - 4.30pm
COST: $140 inc GST
Spend the day learning, designing and experimenting with different methods of textile printing. This class will cover the basics of designing patterns for fabric, how to translate them into stamps, relief carvings and stencils for printing.
All techniques learnt can be used for paper and fabric printing at home. You will take home your own rubber stamps, a carved Lino piece, and a cut stencil. During the class you will have the opportunity to try out screen printing with your own finished design.
Some calico and white cotton fabric will be supplied, and there will be blank tea towels, tote bags and lengths of fabric available for purchase on the day (cash only). Feel free to bring along any fabric you already have that is cotton or linen.
You are encouraged to bring along any drawings or previous designs you would like to work with or you can let your imagination flow on the day! There will be plenty of material for you to draw inspiration from.
All levels of experience welcome, there will be plenty of time to ask questions and work at your own pace.
